On the shores of the Andaman Sea, neighbouring Krabi and Phuket, is the diverse Phang-nga province. The name Phang-nga derives from the ancient Malay term “Pangan,” which translates to ‘jungle’ in contemporary Thai. Over the past two decades, the Phang-nga province, including, Khao Lak and its coastal national park, Takua Pa, and Khok Kloi – home to Iniala Beach House – have been transformed into a cultural and natural landmark.
Covering 4,171 km2 of caves, rivers, forests, mountains, vertical limestone rock formations and more, Phang-nga is home to many natural marvels and monuments despite its relatively small size, which explains why it has earned its status as a UNESCO-protected world heritage site.
Phang-nga Bay

This famous landmark, featuring a striking limestone monolith rising 20 meters above sea level, gained worldwide recognition after being featured in The Man with the Golden Gun. However, although this is the most famed destination, it is only a small part of all there is to do in Phang-nga Bay.
As you journey through Phang Nga Bay, the towering limestone cliffs surround you and create a unique experience that is hard to compare to anywhere else in the world. Whilst out, find the opportunity to kayak or canoe, one of the best ways to explore the timeless caves and hongs (skylight cave openings) of these peninsulas and islands.
